The 30-hour course is divided into 15 two-hour classes.  Each student is required to attend Class One through 14 and attend a Parent Class with a parent or legal guardian.

Once you have registered and paid for the program, the only class that requires a sign-up before-hand is the Parent Class.  (You should have registered for a Parent Class during the registration process.  If not, sign into the Student Center and select a Parent Class from the “Purchase” menu.  You will not be charged for this class.)  There’s no need to sign up for each of the remaining 14 classes.  Be sure you sign the attendance sheet at each class you attend so you get credit for the class.

16 and 17-year-old students may attend up to four hours of classes per day when school is not in session (week-ends, summer, school holidays).  On school days, students may only take a two-hour class.  For students 18-years of age and older, there is no restriction on the number of class hours per day.

Yes, if its more convenient for you to take a class or two in one of our other facilities, you are welcome to do so.  For your convenience, you can access all of our classroom calendars by using the dropdown menu on the calendar page of your primary location.

Behind the Wheel Driving Lessons & Practice

The easiest way to schedule your driving lessons is online through our Student Center using the Username and Password that was sent to you via email when you signed up. You can call the office during business hours and we’ll be happy to assist you.

Driving Lessons are eighty (80) minutes long.  Our basic package consists of six (6) lessons which makes up the total of eight (8) hours required.

Please note that our system only works with 15 minute increments, so they lesson time shows up at 90 minutes, but the actual lesson is only 80 minutes.

Yes, we can pick up and drop off at home or school as long as it is in the towns in which we have locations.  Lessons can also start and end at any Fresh Green Light location. We cannot drop a student off at an alternate location unless we have written permission from a parent.

Our scheduling system automatically sends you an email reminder 48 hours in advance of the lesson time, which provides plenty of time to reschedule in case something comes up.  You also have the option of receiving text message reminders as well if you chose that selection during registration.

We have a strict 24 Hour Cancellation Policy:   If you cancel a lesson with less than 24 hours notice, you will be charged a $50 cancellation fee regardless of the reason for the cancellation. We confirm the schedules of our outstanding Driving Coaches 24 hours in advance and we commit to paying them for the lessons on their schedule at that time.

If you must cancel a lesson, please do so by logging into the Student Center and cancelling the lesson online.  Do not leave a voicemail or send an email as this will not cancel your lesson.

Nope. Students must have their permit physically with them during lessons and we are required by the DMV to make sure that every student has their learner’s permit physically with them for every behind-the-wheel driving lesson – photo copies or pictures on phones don’t cut it.  If a student doesn’t have their permit for their lesson, a $ 50.00 cancellation fee will be applied.

No.  The DMV only allows a student to take one driving lesson a day.  Students can attend classroom sessions and have a driving lesson on the same day.  More importantly, we highly suggest that you space your driving lessons out over several weeks so that you are practicing what you’ve learned before moving on to the next lesson.

During the school year, driving lessons usually book 3-4 weeks in advance at Fresh Green Light, especially prime weekend times and school breaks. Summer is our busiest time, so lessons can sometimes be booked out more than a month in advance.  Please plan accordingly.
